WASHINGTON, September 25, 2025 – The U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) is issuing a public health alert for ready-to-eat meals containing a Food and Drug Administration (FDA) regulated pre-cooked pasta that may be contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes (Lm). FSIS expects more updates as this investigation continues. Company Announcement SALT LAKE CITY, UT, September 26, 2025 – Today, Tru Fru, LLC announced that its third-party manufacturer, Georgia Nut Company (GNC) issued a voluntary recall of specific varieties of Tru Fru Freeze Dried products due to the potential presence of metal in the product. Company Announcement Following a recall initiated by Nate’s Fine Foods of Roseville, CA, Demers Food Group has voluntarily recalled select Scott & Jon's Shrimp Scampi with Linguini due to possible Listeria monocytogenes contamination. The voluntary recall was initiated because these products contain a recalled linguini pasta ingredient supplied by Nate’s Fine Foods which was recalled for Listeria monocytogenes contamination. Food Handling Agency Grant Opportunity

In the past, there have been two different years where Community Harvest was able to obtain funding in order to pass substantial grants on to agency partners. In 2016, the food bank was given the opportunity to purchase equipment, and in 2020, we had another grant cycle where funding was given to aid in purchasing equipment, supplies, and food to 60 different member agencies who applied.
