Company Announcement [West Caldwell, NJ] – November 25, 2025 – The Ambriola Company is recalling select cheese products after routine testing confirmed the presence of Listeria monocytogenes, an organism which can cause serious and sometimes fatal infections in young children, frail or elderly people, and others with weakened immune systems. Although healthy individuals may suffer only short-term symptoms such as high fever, severe headache, stiffness, nausea, abdominal pain and diarrhea, Listeria infection can cause miscarriages and stillbirths among pregnant women. Prime Food Processing LLC of Brooklyn, NY is voluntarily recalling 2,243 cases of two dessert bun varieties because the packaging does not declare milk in the “Contains” allergen statement as required by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA). The milk in these products is derived from unsalted butter listed in the ingredient statement.
