Community Harvest has made a focus of its strategic plan going forward to build agency capacity. In 2020, a special Feeding America grant made it possible to share over $300,000 with agencies to help them purchase food, equipment, and supplies for their distributions and outreach. Annual Shut-Down Community Harvest will be closed for its annual July shut-down beginning Monday, July 5, through Sunday, July 11. We will reopen with normal business hours on Monday, July 12. Community Harvest Food Bank will be starting a Partner Advisory Council with member agencies from all nine counties in our service region, and applications are available to member agencies in good standing. The Partner Advisory Council is a coalition of network partners who serve as advisors to Community Harvest Food Bank (CHFB). In addition, the Council provides practical input and feedback on CHFB plans to strengthen network capacity to better meet the hunger need in the community.
