Grant Opportunity Available for CHFB Agencies

Community Harvest is the recipient of $295,000 in funding from Feeding America, requested for use in support of member agencies.

Thanks to Feeding America support, Community Harvest is able to re-grant $295,000 in funding to member agencies in northeast Indiana.

In total, Community Harvest will be making 60 awards to agencies in amounts between $1,000-10,000. Interested agencies will complete a grant proposal to be reviewed against a scoring rubric. Agencies should apply for funding they need, and the resources will be allocated to the best of our ability.

Goals of this funding opportunity:
  • Increase efforts to address the priorities and needs of communities, individuals, and families most disproportionately affected by the pandemic, its economic fallout, and food insecurity.
  • Support capacity-building strategies that will both:
    • Address the current need of local communities and;
    • Position the network to be more agile, resilient, and prepared for sustaining this response in the future
  • Better understand the anticipated impact this investment will have in terms of "how much" and "how well" your community will be served.
Who is eligible (all requirements must be met):
  1. Your agency must be open for services as of August 1, 2020
  2. Your agency must have placed an online order with CHFB within the past 12 months
  3. Your agency must be updated on monthly surveys
  4. You must be a current, active member agency of CHFB in good standing as of August 1, 2020
